12 Monate) entstehen.

"Einen guten Prosecco tut´s eben nicht"

Champagner bleibt die Königin unter den Schaumweinen.

We love Hirtzberger

The Comeback of infamous Chablis

What once used to be a big name is celebrating its comeback on the world-wine market. Chablis was kind of pushed in the back in the last century, mostly because of the rise of our own white wines. The rise of cool-climate wine styles puts Chablis back on the map and it´s time to witness the comeback of a great wine.

Domaine Lamblin & Fils can be found directly in the famous town of Chablis, which belongs to the very north of Burgundy. Besides Chablis Village, the family is in charge of 1er Crus, such as infamous "Fourchaumes" and some Grand Crus. The Kimmeridge-clay soils go back to the Jurassic age and are very common in Chablis. Its salty terroir notes makes the wines unique and perfect to accompany with fish and seafood.

Get some bottles and celebrate with us the comeback of a great wine!

Discover the wines of the Toro region

The Tempranillo clone in the region of Toro in Castilla Y Léon is called Tinta de Toro.  Powerful wines result from its vineyards

With more tannins than your average Tempranillo and great potential for longer storage, Tinta de Toro wines offer a lot of wine for not much money.

Viñaguareña wines are easy to remember, because of their great making of. Not just the labels leave good impressions. The "Munia" series and especially "Talamo" are Tinta de Toro examples as its best.

The vineyards are geographically in the county of Castilly Y Léon, on the north bank of the Duero river. Not far from Ribera Del Duero, connected to Rueda on the other side of the river. The Toro area offers a great climate with cool influences from the river and and minerally soils.

2nd place for Grüner Veltliner "Sand 1" at AWC Vienna 2017

Time to party in Krems - Toni´s Grüner Veltliner "Sand 1" 2016 was chosen 2nd in his class at the AWC Vienna.

The new vintage is in the bottle and seems to be very promising. Very fresh with great acidity structure and fruits of apples and citrus. An easy drinking wine, which can be described as everyone´s darling and a reasonable price.

Ski & Wine - what a great season 2017/18

By living in the heart of the European Alps, our most beloved free-time activity is skiing (of course). Sebastian is also an educated ski instructor and available for extraordinary Ski & Wine experiences in Lech/Zürs on the wonderful Arlberg. He knows what lies in the wine cellars of the top-hotels and luxury-restaurants, but he is also familiar with the backcountry, slopes like "Der Weisse Ring" and off-slopes on great powder days.

The season 2017/18 is over. We are looking forward to ski and wine with you after a great vegetation period.

Just one rule here: Nothing is impossible!

Get in touch to create your ultimate Ski & Wine experience in one of the best places of the Alps and maybe the best place for ski- and wine-lovers in the world.

- ski guiding (and technical training if desired)

- wine tastings from basic to high-end wines

- Champagne après-ski

- lunch/fine dine in number 1 cuisines

Private tastings & wine ABC

Our wine educators from Club Weinstein teach you how to taste wines and improve your wine skills.

Private groups, companies or whoever are invited to co-organise a tasting evening. We bring the wine, the glasses, the informations, the hand-outs and with your money and our know-how, we surely can have a great time together.

Standard tastings are:

+ theme tastings (country, area, grape-variety,..)

+ blind tastings

+ vertical tastings (vintages of one wine up and down)

+ horizontal tastings (same grape, same cru, same vintage, different producers)

+ rarities tastings (iconic wines with age)

Check here for Vorarlberg´s tasting calender.

A new chapter in the book of Rioja

We all know this almost lost and forgotten autochthone grape variety within an appellation, that pop-ups from nowhere. Maturana Tinta is exactly this one in the Rioja DOCa. In contrast to the early ripening Tempranillo, the small berries of Maturana Tinta are picked late. The significant dark violette-red juice from mostly the Rioja Alta area also offers great tannin and acidity structure for long-living and characterful wines. "Nada Que Ver" from Bodegas Martinez Alesanco is  enriching the book of Rioja with an interesting chapter.

Southern Burgenland on the rise

Iron soil, long sunshines and vintners with characters. The South of Burgenland turned our heads in the last years. Good to have the Blaufränkisch from Weingut Schützenhof in our repertoire. Winemaker Markus Faulhammer understands letting his wines talk and they tell us a story on pureness, iron will and a full-body work-out. If the South rises again, we are prepared with our Blaufränkisch stock.

Germany sweet-sour

German wines are famous all over the world and Riesling from the well known area Mosel once used to be more expansive than a Bordeaux 1er Grand Cru Classé.

S.A. Prüm can look back on a long tradition in making Riesling on the steep slopes of Bernkastel and Wehlen. Wines that reflect the terroir and show a perfect balance of sweet fruits and vibrating acidity. By the way: The infamous "Sonnenuhr" was built by one of the Prüms back in the days.

Beaune Thugs-N-Burgundy

Wine journeys are fun and very helpful in improving your wine-skills. The essence in wine is learning to understand the area, the vinyards and the people who are crafting them. It was a great experience to tour through the famous Crus of Vosne-Romanée, Beaune and Montrachet and it was obvious, that we won´t return home empty.

One of the best "maisons" from Beaune - Domaine Albert Morot - produces delightful, unbelievable smooth und complex Pinot Noir out of several 1er Crus. Domaine Jean Nöel Gagnard from Chassagne-Montrachet is already well known for great white Burgundy, which are timeless and long living likewise. You can find both of them in our Shop.
